A summer study abroad program at the University of Cambridge in 2014 introduced me to the early history of Britain and the English language. Through daily classes and weekly site visits, we embarked on a historical journey through the worlds of Roman Britain, Anglo-Saxon England, and medieval England.
The posts archived here describe my travels throughout Cambridge, East Anglia, and southern England as we journeyed from site to site, recording my ever-growing appreciation for early British history (and living in twenty-first century England). All of the writing dates from 2014 and is a reflection of my historical education to that point.
