About

Welcome! My name is Kelsey, and I am a public historian, teacher, and lifelong learner. I’ve always loved history, especially learning about the people who lived in the past, and I love sharing my passion for history through teaching and writing. I believe that history can – and should – be accessible (and enjoyable) to anyone. History isn’t dull – it is so much more than just names and dates. It is complex, dynamic, full of life, and incredibly influential on the world in which we live today.

I followed my passion for history by studying it at both the undergraduate and graduate level. More recently, I have entered the field of public history. I’ve earned a master’s degree in cultural heritage management, and I am now pursuing a PhD in public history. As I develop as a public historian and teacher, this is a space where I will share my research and my thoughts on history, museums, heritage sites, traveling historically, and the ways in which the past is interpreted and presented for people in the present.
